I’ve been looking for a free vst with rain/thunder effects, and found this on KVRAudio. Biotek 2 also has several really awesome nature sounds that work with a synthesizer. 1 point 1 year ago. I’ve been using AudioWeather Free by LeSound. It’s a bit buggy but sounds great.

Technical Details
World Sounds download contains 76 royalty-free field recordings in 48 kHz/24-bit stereo WAV format. The recordings are sorted into folders by category and you will also find a detailed list of metadata in CSV format. You will need 3.83 GB of free hard drive space to store the library and the download size is 3.32 GB (ZIP archive).
