Cubase Vst Plugins Folder
Really simple, windows only, use the default gui, tested on cubase vst5.1 under windows XP /best-free-vst-editor.html.
Mono-ization: Download volume booster for mac.
- MonoIze: Insert on a stereo track. The single slider allows you to pickone of three sources for the mono (but 2-channel, this is a stereotrack remember) output signal: 'left only', 'left plus right', and'right only'. In all cases, the left and right outputswill be duplicates when using this as an insert effect.Get MonoIze.dll (86 kilobytes)
- L2C:An even simpler plugin, this one ignores the right input and passes outa 2-channel mono signal that is a duplicate of the left channel input. This is equivalent to MonoIze with the slider set to 'left only', but if setting that one MonoIze slider is too much of a pain, use this plugin :-)'L2C' stands for 'Left to Center', in case it wasn't clear.Get L2C.dll (86 kilobytes)
To install, just download the dll file and put it directly in your vst plugins folder.
The Hyphenate does a step by step tutorial on how to install VST effects and plugins into Cubase 10 and Cubase 9. Whether it's Cubase Pro, Elements, or Artis. Follow the steps below to add your NI VST folder to Cubase 8: Start Cubase, open the Studio menu and select the entry VST Plug-in Manager. In the lower left corner of the VST Plug-in Manager window, open the Plug-in Manager Settings by clicking the cogwheel icon. In the Plug-in Manager Settings window, click on the Add Path button.

Frohmage vst plugin. Note: L2C was specifically meant to address a reported problem wheremono-only plugins in cubase used on stereo tracks would create an outputwhere the left side was processed and the right side was passed throughunaffected. If you were using mixing software where you don't have a separate pancontrol for each half of a stereo pair, you would be unable to re-centeryour effected signal. A request was made for a simple plugin that would dup the left over to the right (throwing away the existing audioon the right), so you could mono-process a stereo track and end up witha centered, effected signal.

Depending on the left/right material, it may be better to usea MonoIze before the mono plugin (that way you don't losethe audio material on the right side) and then either anotherMonoIze or an L2C after the mono plugin just to centereverything again.
